have been constructed in a straight line from Kedarnath to Rameshwar


These temples were constructed nearly four thousand years ago when no satellite technology was available to measure the latitude and longitude of those places.

There is a distance of 2383 km between Kedarnath and Rameshwaram. But all these temples fall in a single parallel line, around 79°E,41’,54” longitude.



Out of these ,5 temples have Shiva linga, represented as manifestation of five

The Lingam of Ramanathaswamy (Shiva),
was established and worshiped by Lord Rama himself.


2# NATARAJA TEMPLE -Chidambaram-TAMIL NADU

The present temple was built in the 10th century.
The temple is located at the Center point of world's Magnetic Equator
Chidambaram Natarajar temple is one of the Panchabhootas ( the 5 elements of the nature ) temple, and represents the SKY element
