Tribute to PRASANTH B JOHN |En Yeshu Than Vila Theera Sneham|Virtual Choir|150 Singers

"Seeing You who cannot be seen, I now rejoice,
I gladly wait for the day, when we will meet, face to face."


When our beloved Prasanth Baby John bid an untimely farewell to this world, we felt a loss so profound, it echoed through generations of the family home to our Mundakayam Church. His entire life had been a testament to his love for music and the way it evoked the divinity of our souls.


Growing up, Prasanth, who watched his father lead the church choir, went on to become its organist, later its choir master. Even as he ventured into varied musical avenues, working with many eminent music directors in the film industry, he never failed to find time to oversee the church choir events; handling every detail, from composing to teaching, with utmost ardor. Perhaps the most remarkable thing about Prasanth John was the way he remained the most down-to-earth man, all through his early-acquired illustrious career. And no doubt, he left us too soon, leaving behind a musical legacy that has one too many notes left unsung.

There was no better way, to honour his memory than with this musical endeavour of ours. Even amidst such unprecedented times of affliction, a call for family brought together nearly 150 members of our church choir. Spread out across 10 different countries, including the myriad corners of India, they reached out to make this tribute a reality.


Music and our sense of family, are two things so divine, they redeem our spirits and kindle our souls, even in the darkest of times. Here, we bring to life, one of his favourite hymns: 'En Yeshu Than Vila Theera Sneham' (Tune: Heavenly Land).


As we release this video, on May 24th 2020, we commemorate one month since beloved Prasanth Baby John's demise (April 24th 2020).
