Did managing my wavy hair actually get EASIER since I ditched the dye?


Listen if you are embracing your wavy hair, it's both hard and easy at the same time. On the one hand, there is LESS bombardment with information on it compared to curly hair. But that being said, there is LESS information about how to do it.

I believe you can get away with way fewer products than in the curly girl method, and in this video, I show you what works for my wavy gray hair using only ONE product. Because I just realistically don't have time for that other method, and honestly my hair does way better with less product and less fuss.

I wanted to embrace my naturally wavy hair around the same time I decided to grow out my hair dye and embrace my gray hair. The only problem was that I started out of the gate with the curly girl method. With all its rules, and products, "bad" ingredients, and styling techniques, it was just easier to straighten it. And listen, no real shade on the curly girl method if that works for you. but it just didn't work for me and my hair type.

But persistence pays, and finding what worked for my wavy hair, and accepting that curly hair and wavy hair have different needs, lead me to realizing that when it comes to my wavy hair, LESS IS MORE.

I told myself all these things:

“My hair is just frizzy”

“I don’t have curly hair and I don’t have straight hair”

“Even if I get it to look nice, it doesn’t ever last”

“I don’t have time for all these crazy routines or the money for all the products”
“It’s just easier if I straighten it”

Do any of those sound familiar?

No judgement I promise. But once I ditched the dye, I really wanted to see if I could also embrace that wriggle in my hair. And having long, wavy gray hair was honestly something I dreamed of. And for me, both embracing my gray and embracing my wavy hair were very similar processes. So I'm sharing that here.
