Abi & Abi are two trailblazing Costume Designers from Teesside (Stockton & Hartlepool)
This summer they successfully pulled off a stunning debut runway event in Stockton, showcasing emerging designers and amazing local artists. This was an interactive way to bring together creatives of the North East, promoting networking and building meaningful connections to help each other succeed in their respective industries.
Both designers have returned to study after having children, they fortuitously met at the Northern School of Art where they are now in the final year of their Costume Degree Course.
Notably, Abigail Farrelly cut her teeth in fashion as a Make Up Artist for London and Paris fashion week and Abigail McLean has recently had an editorial feature in Sunday Girl Magazine issue 11. Speaking to them right at the beginning of their journey, we discuss hopes, aspirations & achievements to date. It was so interesting to explore what has brought them to this point in their lives and how they see their careers together and individually panning out.
