“The Lord not only came to preach the acceptable year, but He brought it as well.” St. Theophan reminds us that the Kingdom of Heaven begins within the soul. The grace of Christ establishes the acceptable year—the inner state of peace, renewal, and divine favor—within all who live according to faith.

The world will never become paradise, but the believer’s heart can be filled with grace even amidst storms. When inner peace is born of Christ, no outward trial can darken it. The acceptable year is not a time, but a state—the soul’s quiet union with God.
