Global Energy Markets: Views from Energy Aspects and the EIA

Описание к видео Global Energy Markets: Views from Energy Aspects and the EIA

Despite strong oil demand growth in 2023 and several OPEC+ production cuts throughout the year, non-OPEC supply outpaced expectations and kept the market well supplied. Many analysts expect a return to slower demand growth this year, but geopolitical risks, shipping sector disruptions, and expectations of slower shale growth create uncertainties. The CSIS Energy Security and Climate Change Program is pleased to welcome two leading analysts for a conversation on global energy markets. Dr. Amrita Sen, Founder and Director of Research at Energy Aspects, and Dr. Joseph DeCarolis, Administrator of the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), will provide presentations on the supply and demand outlooks.

Ben Cahill, Senior Fellow of the CSIS Energy Security and Climate Change Program, will provide a welcome and opening remarks. Dr. Sen and Dr. DeCarolis will join Dr. Joseph Majkut, Director of the CSIS Energy Security and Climate Change Program, for a conversation highlighting geopolitical concerns, investment shifts, and other trends.

Prior to the event, please join us for a continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m. The event will begin at 9:00 a.m.

This event is made possible by general funding to CSIS and the CSIS Energy Security & Climate Change Program.
