Great Sand Dunes - Part 2: False Summits

Please watch Part 1 before watching this video. This segment starts after we've climbed over several dunes. Sometimes when you're in the valley, you cannot see the top, so it's easy to be fooled by false summits. Great Sand Dunes NP in southern Colorado is home to the tallest dunes in North America and covers about 30 square miles. It's both amazing and massive! We work toward our goal of climbing to the top of one of the tall dunes and hope to make it to the summit - a 750 foot steep achievement, in sand.
