Deep work. If you're going to invest in modules like ‪@RossumElectroMusic‬ Assimil8or or ER-301 you have to put in the hours to develop mastery. I spent 3 or 4 hours today getting to know the depths of Assimil8or, especially the Phase Modulation and Zone features. As a sampling module, it doesn't work like I expected it to, but the way in which it does work has opened up many, many musical possibilities. I like that.

I've also been wanting to explore using more musical modulation in ambient music. You know - like an actual chord change 🙃. Assimil8or's Zones line everything up for me, and I can move each channel at once. Neat. Triple Sloths and ‪@BelaPlatform‬ Gliss drive the phase modulation - a sound I could get very used to.

I am barely scratching the surface of the ‪@Pladaskelektrisk‬ Dradd - I've done that "new module" thing of finding a setting that I like and sticking to it. More exploration soon. ‪@vikingsade‬ Shakti is starting to become ubiquitous. Pam's modulates the hell out of everything, and ‪@westlicht‬ 's excellent Performer module provides the brains. Some Norns, Cocoquantus, Just Friends in there too.
