TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud strongly criticised Congress MLC Teenmaar Mallanna’s derogatory comments against BRS MLC Kavitha, calling them “reprehensible” and a violation of respect owed to women. He also denounced the subsequent Telangana Jagruthi-led attack on Mallanna’s office and the firing of warning shots, emphasising that all aspects will be thoroughly examined under the law.

Goud highlighted that the 42% BC reservation in Telangana is a Congress initiative and rejected Kavitha’s claim to credit, accusing her of opportunism. He urged the public to question her sincerity, noting the BRS had previously neglected BC welfare during its tenure. He also spoke on Mallanna’s suspension from the party, saying discipline is paramount and must be upheld.
