"Lady Audley’s Secret was an entertaining spoof of Victorian melodramas, and deserved a long and profitable run. But despite a charming score, a droll and delicious performance by Donna Curtis in the title role, and a wildly comic show-stopping performance by June Gable, the musical was gone within a week."

Among others, the show starred Russell Nype, Douglas Seale, and the aforementioned Donna Curtis and June Gable, whose hilarious act II opener "An Old Maid" is sadly missing from this recording.
