Hydration in Concrete

This video shows the hydration process in concrete. " This is the process inside the fresh and hardened concrete where the cement particles chemically react with water". Hydration process is a very basic process in concrete. The hydration process is mainly because of the cementicious particles which reacts chemically with water. The main components in cement are C3A, C3S, C2S. The hydration process depends on many factors, like mineralogy of particles, quantity of cementicious particles, finess of cement, particle size distribution of cement and temperature of the water e.t.c.
