Here's a walkthrough of how I like to wind my Bifilar Pancake Coils - I like having them zip-tied to a rigid acrylic base to be able to fix them in place for stacking, and for mounting connections & whatever else so that all stays level. This way I avoid adhesives/glue/tape, which may contain trace water content (although probably trivial at gloriously low bifilar frequencies, often below 100k cycles/sec).
