Today’s sail didn’t go quite as planned—one of those perfectly “in-between” Pacific Northwest days where the sky can’t decide what it wants to be, the wind fades in and out, and the route changes at the last minute.

We left Kingston expecting a smooth hop to Shilshole Bay Marina, only to find it full on arrival… so we continued on to Elliott Bay instead.

Even with shifting plans, slow progress, and a hesitant breeze, there’s something grounding about sailing days like this.

Living aboard our Beneteau Oceanis 45 has taught us that if you follow the wind, adjust your sails, and trust that small shifts, you’ll still move you forward.
