Having 35 years of applied engineering experience, Darrel Barnette is the Founder and Principal of Digital to Definitive LLC (DtD).  Mr. Barnette graduated from The University of Texas in 1986 with a degree in Aerospace Engineering, and again in 1987, with a Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering with a specialty in hypersonic aerodynamics.   In serving the Department of Defense, he has performed experiments with conventional powder guns, light-gas guns, and electromagnetic launchers; demonstrating launch, flight, and impact performance of advanced projectile concepts and providing supporting analysis via computer modeling.  DtD is a current member of the US Defense Ordnance Technology Consortium serving as a non-traditional subcontractor.  In the commercial sector, DtD provides engineering support to several manufacturers in the sporting goods sector and has contributed design and manufacturing expertise to multiple commercially successful products.  Mr. Barnette has authored or co-authored over 30 peer-reviewed technical papers in the areas of flight mechanics and terminal ballistics and has multiple utility and design patents and patents-pending. 
 
Darrel is the Owner of Digital to Definitive LLC, an engineering services provider where he utilizes his background in aerospace engineering and his desire to use advanced technology to create new products in the sporting goods industry.  He is a life-long hunter, firearms enthusiast, and outdoorsman who enjoys any outing with his trusty lab Millie by his side.
