Описание к видео Régine Crespin sings Duparc's "La vie anterieure"

Video footage (Paris, 1964) of Soprano Régine Crespin and pianist Christian Ivaldi performing "La vie anterieure" by Henri Duparc.

Of Duparc's song output, Debussy said "they're perfect." "Chanson triste" was his first song. One of his songs, "Lamento", Duparc dedicated to his friend, Gabriel Fauré. Duparc wrote in the dedication "à mon maître et ami G. Fauré." Fauré penciled over the word "master" in his copy and wrote "pupil"!
