This was one of the first songs I ever wrote.

Too Late To Mend - A song by Lady Eilonwy Elisara Nightgaze for her step-mother, Lady Silvera Nightgaze. This was to be performed at Silvera's funeral after Lady Silvera died in Eilonwy's arms at a Masquerade Ball.

This song came into being as I was struggling to write a speech, and so I thought, if I could write what Eilonwy wants to say in song form, it would help me write the speech she would say at the funeral of her step-mother, Lady Silvera Nightgaze.

Lady Eilonwy and Lady Silvera did not have the best relationship for many reasons. This was Eilonwy's realisation that she could no longer try to mend their relationship. If she could go back and change what had happened between them, she would have.

But recently, before the funeral could take place, a God of Necromancy used Silvera's body and made her an undead. So, Eilonwy watched as Silvera was killed for a second time.
