Azores EV Adventures in a Leaf. Can this Rivian / Tesla family make it a week in the original EV?

We took a family trip to Sao Miguel, the largest island in the volcanic islands of the Azores. With incredible volcanoes, waterfalls, lakes, and beaches, we wanted to experience nature in as responsible and sustainable a way as possible, so rented an EV. But with limited options and almost no EV infrastructure on the island, it would be a challenge. Would charging issues, long waits, and the dead technology of CHADEMO hold us back?
