Описание к видео Final Doom - TNT Evilution OST #2 - Into The Beast's Belly (2011 Old Version)

[2020] OK, News is I've redone this one too, here's the link for the new version that won't suck:    • Final DooM TNT Evilution OST Cover 02 - In...

Objectively I think this is a better performance than Sadistic so there are a fewer "Deadly Sins" I've committed while I recorded this cover almost 10 years ago. Quality in general didn't age well, but I'd say it was a good result considering my lack of experience and the tools at my disposal at the time, which still include Line6's POD X3 and an unmodified midi:

1 - Drums midi. As mentioned in Sadistic's original Video desciption I used to import midis and export as wav with some plain samples without any editing because they were coming from doom's wads as mus files, which caused the resulting midi to be a mess. This was different, Silentzorah made his midi when he created his cover and it was a regular midi file, with no issues. I could have imported (as I've done for the 2020's version) for editing but I've exported it as it was. To be honest it's actually quite good as it is, so this wasn't a really deadly sin. Just a minor sin, I'd say.
2 - One man show. Lead guitar in the first half (and part of the second) follows the bass, and then does every other part. I kind of disagree nowadays. I've decided to leave the bass the exclusivity of the part, no second palm muted guitar that supports and eventually steals the part. Also I always felt like in the following part, guitars had to do and "answer" "reply". Having a lead guitar that does everything kills that effect. That's why I've decided to cut the part in 2020's version.
3 - Bendings. If you listen to most of my old videos You'll notice lots of problems, for sure. One of them is bending. I'm not as precise as I'd want to, and it's a problem if harmonizations are involved. Here at half song, the harmonization ends with a bending. It's not terrible, to be honest, but I've felt like I've gone too far with too many notes, so I've ended up cutting the part in 2020's version. Sounds more straightforward to me.
4 - Solo. The ending solo is just noodling. I dont know if I was satisfied with it at the time because I wasn't that good, or if I was just uninspired and went with it because it was the best I could come up with at the time. What I know is that it's not enough for me now, that's why I've worked on the solo in 2020's version. Now is much better.

That's all. I told you, there aren't that many deadly sins in this one.

CREDITS!

Music By Leo A. Sieben, AKA Anavrin. I couldn't find much in the internet, so I guess he's keeping his life private. Wise choice.

This cover is based on Silentzorah's awesome and badass midi version. You can find him here:

Also special thanks to Jeremy Doyle himself for clearing up the author's possibilities 3 years ago, even though he reduced the choice to 2 possible authors. I'm going to consider Doom Wiki's page trustworthy and keep my fingers crossed, I don't want another video with wrong credits...
