ABOUT SE&LD
Education is one of the most important pillars of the government through which it enhances technical and professional skills of people so that they can play their due role in the development of the country. The Sindh Education and Literacy Department was established with the aim of fulfilling the state's responsibility of providing basic education to its people. The government of Sindh stands committed to universalise education under the Sindh Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2013. Under the Act, the government's top priority is 'to provide for free and compulsory education to all children of the age of five to sixteen years.

Mission Of SE&LD
Increase equitable access to quality ECE, primary and secondary education to promote social cohesion and to provide greater opportunities for learning, participation and 21st century skills to marginalized groups, particularly girls and women.
Improve the quality of learning outcomes through strengthening the teaching/learning process through innovations
Strengthen governance and service delivery by improving the performance capacity at all levels.

Vision & Objectives OF SE&LD
Provide free and compulsory quality education to all children at elementary level as envisaged under the Sindh Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2013 (Sindh Act No. XIV of 2013). Universalize opportunities for quality secondary education. Establish a fully literate society.

PITE Mission
Putting all hands together and streamlining all efforts to give teacher education a new outlook having activity based and practical oriented work that all lead towards changing the mindset of all present and future teachers in Sindh province that ultimately lead towards a big paradigm shift from passive learning to active learning at school level.
