Can Napleton Kia Body Shop be trusted? In my opinion, no. After discovering they billed my daughter’s insurance—and her personally—for parts they never installed, I filed a police report and contacted the insurance company to report the issue.

Their excuse? They claim the car wasn’t actually ready and that we should never have been contacted to pick it up. The manager wants us to believe it was all just a mistake—blaming a worker who was on vacation, another person who “missed it,” and a total lack of quality control. But let’s be real—if I hadn’t caught this, does anyone honestly believe they would have called my daughter and asked her to bring the car back so they could finally install the new parts? Come on. That’s ridiculous. Of course not.

According to the manager, six parts were listed on the bill but never installed—and then I found another. Yet the whole front clip had been completely disassembled and reassembled. So what was the worker supposed to do? Take it apart again next week to install the new parts? Or is it more likely that a crime was committed? We may not be able to pinpoint exactly who is responsible, but someone at Napleton Kia’s body shop is committing insurance fraud.

Now, the manager has agreed to cover the labor at a different body shop. He claims to be “straight as an arrow” and honorable. We’ll see if he follows through. But one thing is clear—someone at Napleton Kia’s body shop likely committed a felony. Those are my thoughts.
