2023 Matric Results | Prof Mary Metcalfe weighs in on IEB pass rate

The Independent Examinations Board (IEB) has achieved yet another remarkable overall pass rate of 98-point-46% in the 2023 National Senior Certificate examinations. The pass rate is slightly higher than the 2022 NSC pass rate of 98-point-42%. All candidates who passed the IEB 2023 NSC examination achieved a pass that grants access to tertiary study. 15 180 candidates wrote the Independent Examinations Board NSC examinations.
