Marth Mariam Syro-Malabar Church Kuravilangad or Major Archbishop Marth Mariam Archdeacon Pilgrimage Church is one of the oldest and most popular Christian churches in Kerala. This church has many historical importance. There is a largest single stone cross in Kerala 48 feet high and it was built in AD 1575. There is a bell tower that was built in 1910, it has three big bells. It brought from Hamburg, Germany for Rs 30,000 and the bells weigh is 1666 kg, 1173 kg, and 710 kg respectively. Moonu noyambu thirunnal is one of the major and most celebrating festivel here. Kappalottam is one of the main ceremony during this thirunnal and Kadapur residents have the right to take the ship during this time. Also, Karuttedam, Chempankulam, Pudusherry, Ancheri and Valiyaveed five families carry the boat.
