Can you believe it's June? This year is flying by and just about half over! School's out, it's summer...and it's Menagerie Wednesday!

JUNE CHALLENGE #MMMJUN22
For this month's #mixedmediamenagerie, our #strangecollectionofthings included using a gel plate, stencil or mask and only 2 colors plus black and white.

MY RESPONSE
Honestly, I've struggled creating in the past couple weeks. I did not have much of plan except that I wanted to include grunge, hand drawn floral, mark making and some of the new Tim Holtz ephemera I picked up. I planned to keep it simple, not overly complicated, and go with my intuition. I needed some white space to breathe.

Then, I received some fun new gel plates in the mail right before filming, and my direction changed a bit, but not much. I even started creating not knowing what stencil I was using, colors I was going to choose and struggled deciding on the second one. However, I used my two colors (teal and orange) to create a third (brown!). This was a fun month and I hope you join us because I cannot wait to see what you create.
