Armenians Gather in Voskepar Church for Special Prayer on Easter Amid Threats of Azeri Occupation

On Easter Sunday, Armenians from all corners of the country gathered in Voskepar village, located in Tavush Province, for a special prayer service at the local church. The gathering, a traditional celebration of Easter, took on added significance this year as tensions are high in the region.

Azerbaijan's recent threats to occupy Armenian villages in Tavush Province have created fear and uncertainty over the community. During these troubling developments, Ani Khachatryan of The Armenian Report traveled from Yerevan to Voskepar to document the Easter observance and stand in solidarity with the local residents.

The atmosphere in Voskepar was one of apprehension and determination. The people came together to find solace in their faith and community. The Easter service at the Voskepar church on March 31 was not only a time for religious observance but also a show of unity and resilience.

Led by Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan of Tavush, the prayer service was a poignant moment for reflection and supplication. Archbishop Galstanyan's speech resonated deeply with the gathered faithful, urging them to pray fervently for their captive compatriots and for the safety and sovereignty of their homeland.
