How to Paint a Whimsical Abstract Landscape in Mixed Media | Intuitive and Mindful Painting Process

Описание к видео How to Paint a Whimsical Abstract Landscape in Mixed Media | Intuitive and Mindful Painting Process

Experimentation and play are key to developing our skills and style as artists and I do this a lot! This little painting started with inspiration from my paint palette. Then, by following my intuition, I was able to take something that was only ok for me in the beginning and transform it into a composition I really love. Oh what a joy it is to create! (PS - In this week's video I also bring up an important creativity topic - check out the link (included after my list of materials) to an informative and interesting article on "Inspiration vs. Imitation".)

Here’s a list of the materials I used for this painting: (***I now have the ability to monetize my site. This means I can include links to the products I use and when you make a purchase using these links, I will get a small commission. You won't pay extra for doing this and you will help me earn a little bit of money along the way, so I can continue doing this work. Please note that I will only ever add links to products that I actually like and use. Thanks in advance!***)

**I get a lot of questions about whether or not it is ok to recreate my paintings. I talk a bit about this, from my perspective, in this week's video. But, I thought it would also be useful to share an article I found online on this very topic. I agree with what Christine wrote in "Inspiration vs Imitation: How to Copy as an Artist": https://might-could.com/essays/inspir.... It explains the difference between the two and how to know if you're on the right track to creating artwork you can truly and confidently call your own. Thank you Christine!! Please check out the article and let me know what you think in the comments section below my video. :) **
