Will a Cease and Desist Letter Stop a Collector

A cease and desist letter can be helpful but it is naive to think it will stop abusive debt collectors.

It won't make an abusive debt collector suddenly stop breaking the law.

We suggest you deal with debt collectors head on rather than sending a cease and desist letter under the FDCPA.
