In the new episode of CHAIKHANA, DJ Tim Tempo takes the stage—also known as the promoter and party producer behind Plovistan in Tashkent.
He started DJing 10 years ago while living in Almaty, but it wasn't until 2022 that he began to take music seriously. He specializes in genres like intelligent, groovy, and trance techno. His sets often include elements of synth-pop, indietronica, and alternative R&B, all blended with Central Asian pop. This mix is inspired by his favorite French duo, Paradis, perfectly capturing our hero's playlist. The mood shifts from calm to faster tempos, gradually returning to a lighter rhythm—like a swing, akin to a visit to an underground chaikhana in a Tashkent mahalla, where Tim often takes his friends. CHAIKHANA - this is DJ Edigee's original show about Central Asian electronic music. Teahouse is one of the synonyms of Central Asia. This is the soul and peaceful breath of the East, an integral part of colorful bazaars and a cozy corner of quiet streets. The teahouse has long been a place where people came to tell and listen to the latest news and rumors (when there were no newspapers and telephones), leisurely discuss plans for the future with friends, play backgammon with neighbors, conduct serious “business negotiations,” celebrate significant events, etc. Further.
