LIVE WEATHER: Tornado watch expanded through Central Florida

AMS Certified Meteorologist Jonathan Kegges is tracking the severe weather moving through the Southeast and Florida.

Severe storms including tornadoes will continue to be possible in southeast Georgia and parts of Central Florida.

A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for Marion county until 4 p.m.

The tornado watch that had been in effect for most of the day has been expanded to included Marion and Flagler counties in Florida.

A tornado watch means that conditions are favorable for the development of tornadoes.

Be ready to take action if a warning issued.

The severe weather threat will wind down gradually through the evening. By the time this reaches the Orlando area this should weaken considerably.
