Cantering the gaited horse

Описание к видео Cantering the gaited horse

Video shot at the 2015 March Jennie Jackson Dressage as Applied to the Gaited Horse Clinic held at White Stables near Knoxville, TN. Here Jennie demonstrates to the auditors the canter, counter canter, and hand gallop. She begins the canter work with lateral exercises such as shoulder in, shoulder out, haunches in and haunches out, at a flatwalk to get the horse relaxed. As soon as the horse begins to get tense in canter, Jennie transitions back to walk so that the horse learns to remain relaxed in canter. Jennie also explains why cross firing comes so natural to laterally gaited horses. Jennie is riding a naturally gaited and barefoot Tennessee walking horse in a snaffle bit.
