The GlobalBuildingAtlas (GBA) is a public, global-scale building dataset developed and maintained by Zhu-XLab. As the first public dataset to provide high-quality, consistent, and complete global coverage at the individual building level, GBA has fundamentally changed how we access global building environment data.

This dataset integrates multi-source satellite imagery and advanced machine learning techniques to provide global building polygons, height attributes, and LoD1 (Level of Detail 1) 3D models. It offers precise polygon data for 2.75 billion buildings worldwide, which is over a billion more buildings than the most comprehensive existing public building databases.

Its height product, GBA.Height, creates the most detailed and accurate global 3D building height map to date, with a spatial resolution of 3x3 meters. This is 30 times finer than previous global products, which typically had a resolution of around 90 meters.

The 3D model product, GBA.LoD1, represents the first complete global LoD1 building model, including 268 million building instances with predicted heights!

However, due to the massive size of the GBA dataset, it is necessary to select a specific download area based on your application needs to avoid unnecessary resource consumption.
