Cheapest Hardware Compressor MOD? - ART Pro VLA II Tube Swap + Match Output Levels

In this video we look at the ART Pro VLA II compressor. The Pro VLA 2 is one of the cheapest stereo analog compressors on the market, however it comes with cheap vacuum tubes on the output.

Does swapping out the tubes make difference on the sound? Lets find out..

We will be swapping the tubes for Electro Harmonix brand tubes.

If you are just having some output level mismatches with or without switching tubes, the second part of the video is for you. We go over level matching the Left and Right Outputs using the trim attenuator on the PCB.
