How GGG is Managing Community Expectations… and this is NOT a BAD thing! | PATH OF EXILE 2

Описание к видео How GGG is Managing Community Expectations… and this is NOT a BAD thing! | PATH OF EXILE 2

In this video, we dive into how Grinding Gear Games (GGG) is carefully managing the community's expectations as we approach the release of Path of Exile 2. Here's what we've observed so far:

- Campaign Footage: So far, only leveling footage from the campaign has been shown, which is crucial. We’ll delve deeper into why this is significant later in the video.
- No Full Builds: We haven’t seen any actual builds yet—only pre-made configurations or early-game scenarios where builds aren’t fully developed. This leaves a lot to the imagination regarding late-game build potential.
- Lack of Unique Items: There’s been no comprehensive showcase of unique items, aside from a few like Cloak of Flame. This means we can’t yet predict which mechanics might be introduced or how items from Path of Exile 1 might have changed.
- Mapping Footage: Mapping, the core of Path of Exile’s endgame, has not been shown yet. We speculate this will be revealed closer to the open beta, as it’s a key aspect GGG is using to manage expectations.

Endgame: The True Essence of Path of Exile

Endgame is where Path of Exile truly shines, and the absence of mapping footage is significant. Why? Because this is where your build really starts to take shape. To put it in perspective: if you spend 300 hours on a character in a league, only about 7-10 of those hours will be in the campaign. This means we’ve seen less than 5% of what the game has to offer from start to endgame so far.

For seasoned Path of Exile players, the campaign is just a tutorial—the real game begins at tier 1 maps. Without any mapping footage, we still don’t know anything about game speed, build power, balancing, advanced mechanics, or interactions that define Path of Exile’s foundation.

And that’s a good thing! GGG is giving us just a taste of what the game will be like at the start, while leaving the rest shrouded in mystery. We know from Path of Exile 1 that GGG delivers on its promises, so while we can speculate, the real excitement will come from discovering what lies ahead.

We don’t know yet if the game will be hyper-fast, if you’ll be able to one-hit bosses, or if builds will allow you to facetank the endgame. We don’t even know how difficult map bosses will be. But based on GGG’s track record, we can expect amazing things—and I’ll be here to keep our expectations grounded as we get closer to launch.

Stay tuned for more insights, and let’s embark on this adventure together!
