Parametric Excitation of Electric Oscillations

This video gives an introduction into parametric resonance in a series resonant electric circuit.
This is my first attempt at making a lecture style video and my first time coding math animations, two things I've always wanted to do. It was so fun to learn python through using Manim and I am thankful to 3b1b for hosting the Summer of Math Exposition for giving me incentive to finally do it.

I hope this video and the sources attached will give people a good base understanding of this lesser talked about phenomenon, so that it can be experimented with further. I am replicating the device from 1930 with plastic and copper, but I'd like to see what people more knowledgable than I could improve upon this idea (i.e. making a solid state version of the variable inductor, simulating circuits using this effect, etc.).

In the future I will be making a video on the deeper complexities of this topic, such as methods of quelling the oscillations to deliver steady power to a load, achieving parametric resonance by varying the capacitance, looking further to the solutions of the differential equation, and more. I will also make videos following my experimental replication of the device from the paper I reference.
