Public Speaking Tip: Walk with Confidence

Описание к видео Public Speaking Tip: Walk with Confidence

If you like to walk while presenting, here is another public speaking tip for you.

As a presentation skills trainer, many of you tell me that you like to walk when you're giving a presentation. I like to walk when I'm giving a presentation. Here's what it means to walk with a purpose when you're presenting:

1. Make sure you have good alignment. This means that your shoulders, hips and toes all face the person you're looking at.

2. When it's time to move, walk with a normal stride over to someone else or sometimes to the other side of the room.

3. Plant your feet firm. Stay there for 2-3 sentences.

4. Repeat this process as you move around.

What I love about walking around when people are presenting is that it creates a lot of energy for what you're talking about. Most importantly, it connects you with that audience.
