This was a project from hell in some ways. The webcast video source was way out of sync from the accompanying audio and contains many glitches (the worst being during "Tweekers"). The Official Bonnaroo 365 channel uploaded 5 songs to their account which are a higher resolution version of the same pro-shot source as the webcast. Those have been spliced in when available. The original analog audio cassettes needed severe azimuth adjustment during playback at the start of all 3 sides. There was a gradual slip or drift caused by the heads on the record unit. An identical deck was used to transfer the tapes while manually adjusting the azimuth and captured at 24bit/96kHz.

Since the audio cassettes were transferred on the same type of deck, the speed and pitch were very accurate, however there are still about 100 re-syncs throughout the video. The audio from the webcast rip was very dry and crackly so it was left on the virtual cutting room floor. The audience mics were about 7' high, centre in front of the soundboard and provide a close representation of what it sounded like if you were there. You can hear the crowd react to a light display during "Grapevine" while some hang-gliders shone spotlights on falling pieces of foil (or something...) which was evidently an advertisement by a gum company. Looked cool at the time!

Maybe one day the full performance will be released in HD, but until then this is the best full version of the video.

Enjoy! :)
