The SS Nord [1871] and The Anchor Graveyard, Guernsey

Diving aboard Dream Catcher out of Grande Harve with Paul Carre we managed to tick off another shipwreck which has caused me much grief in the past. I have dived with Dive Guernsey in the area no less than 6 times down to 48 m and never seen her. This time we had it made very easy for us after Steve Fallaize shot the wreck for us the day before. I must say it was a really good shot too as it allowed us a rest at 50m on top of the boiler before taking a few minutes to inspect her very old steam engine. The next dive after a good rest on the boat was the Anchor Graveyard which was fairly close to the Nord location. another 35 ish m dive gave us just enough time to explore the full extent of the dive site. Still no answers as why, when, how ? they arrived on the seabed. Hope you enjoy these fleeting visit to two very very rarely dived locations. Stay safe and look after yourself and others.
