In this video, I show you how to manual detect counterfeit bills.

If you live in the USA, you will most likely be using cash, because a lot of businesses take cash. They also take credit cards, and debit cards as well.

If you are a merchant, you will still take cash as payment. I do business in cash as well as taking other forms of payments, like credit card, and PayPal as well. I sell stuff on Craigslist, trade shows, and expos. Often times, I take cash as form of payment, and I take big bills, like $50s and $100s, because some transactions are in the hundreds of dollars. I have to know if these bills are real or not.

I have a lot of experience dealing in cash, so I haven't taken any counterfeit bills for years. As the years went by, new security features were added to these bills, and I had to learn about them. When I was working some retail jobs during the time I was going to university back in the 1990s, I did take some counterfeit bills. I learned from those experiences. People often learn from their mistakes, and this is part of the learning process.

In other countries, they might be cashless, but in the US this still isn't the case. A lot more people are using electronic forms of payment, but there are some businesses I go to that take only cash, like some restaurants. I pay cash for fuel, because I get a discount when I do that. At some stores, they give you a discount if you pay in cash, and this is because there are no transaction fees attached to it. You can use a credit which uses a merchant services processor, and they can charge the merchant anywhere from 5% to 10% per transaction. You can use PayPal if businesses use it, and you will be charged a 2.99% to 3.5% transaction fee. This fee is like a tax. If you use an ATM, you are charged a fee.

Until, we get to a national central bank digital currency, dealing with cash for business transactions is still a great way to go, because it is untraceable, and there are no fees. In order for you to do this, you have to know about the money you are taking is real or not.
