How To Add A Gmail Account Into iOS Mail App

In this quick tech how-to video, I’m going to show you how to a Gmail account into the Mail app on an Apple iPhone.

The first thing you want to do is go to Settings.

Next, scroll down until you see Mail and select it.

Once inside select Accounts.

In here you’ll find all of the email accounts, if any, you already have added to Apple Mail.

Select Add Account, and then select Google.

This will prompt a dialogue telling you Settings want to use Google to sign in. Click Continue.

In the next screen, type in your Gmail created email address and hit Next.

Enter in your Gmail Password, and hit Next again.

Here you can turn on your what you would like to sync, your Mail, Contacts, Calendar, and if you have any Notes associated with the account.

Hit Save and your Account will be added as you can see here.

Go back to your Home Screen and open the Mail app.

By default, my email shows all inboxes, but if I only wanted to see that new Gmail inbox I added, I can hit Mailboxes, and then select the account here.

This will then show me the Inbox I just added.

And it's that simple to add a Gmail account into the Apple iOS Mail App.
