Lloyd Bendall has built the arcade of his childhood dreams in the basement of an old Queenslander. Amongst retro games, vinyl records, a DJ turntable, coin-operated machines and other old school goodies lies an extraordinary collection of about 50 restored pinball machines. "One turned into two in order to try and get one going and then it sort of grew because I figured out how to fix them," he said. "I don't know if [mum] knew that I was going to turn into this sort of monster with it, but I did keep the money." Mr Bendall is a cabinet maker by trade.
