Lesson 6: Braided Low Bun with Volume (Two-Braid Technique)

In this lesson, you’ll learn how to create a voluminous and elegant low bun using two braids. This fast and easy technique is ideal for working with either natural or extension-enhanced hair. It gives a clean, romantic result that looks much more complex than it actually is.

We begin by creating two large braids — one on each side — and pulling them toward the center. I’ll show you how to build volume at the crown, keep the sides flat, and secure the braids into a full bun. You’ll also learn how to use a donut (optional) to enhance shape if you’re working with thinner hair, and how to highlight texture with soft lines and accessories.
