How Bob Saget, BJ Novak and John Mayer Became Friends

Access Hollywood’s Zuri Hall spoke to B.J. Novak at the “Vengeance” premiere where “The Office” alum is making his directorial debut. BJ, who also wrote the film opened up about the latest project and how Bob Saget helped him become friends with John Mayer, “John had recorded a song that we put in ‘The Office,’ inadvertently it was in the background of a scene at a Christmas party, and the song didn’t clear, so we had to call John Mayer to get him to do it.” He added, “The three of us became good friends as a group and Bob was really really hugely important figure to everyone he knew.” “Vengeance” will be released in theaters on July 29.
