Oil painting wall decor - painting trompe l'oeil and murals - some examples of my paintings on walls in interior:)
As you know, you can draw not only on canvas, but also on the walls. Of course, the stories in easel painting are different from wall painting./ behind my painting in a large format/.
With certain knowledge and imagination, you can come up with different wall paintings. Of course, taking into account the customer's wishes.

For example, on a wall you can draw a summer mural with a light landscape plot. Here you can mentally go for a walk in the garden, to the fountain.
I painted a metal support for climbing roses, a small garden and a road that goes into the distance. Height 2 m, realized on canvas in my Studio and glued to the right place in house.

And here I drew a brick arch with a view of the sea and old ruins The cracked balustrades on terrace look like real ones, as it was intended. Height of Trompe-l'œil is 2 m 50 cm. The brick wall is also painted on the adjoining wall with a real arch. By the way, I collected some examples of wall painting in a small brochure

Here I depicted a romantic Venice with a symbol of the city-gondolas. From the broken wall we can see the square where the citizens are walking. / antique vase /, Look at what little characters walk on the promenade

The size of the figures can be very small or ... very big. For example, here, in a niche, there is a large marble sculpture with a human height / detail/

You can use as the entire wall for painting, as only part of it. For example, I decided to draw an old poster with Paris. Here I depicted the symbol of Paris - the Eiffel Tower, the Seine River and the historic bridge of Alexander III- named after Russian emperor Alexander III. The bridge of Alexander III is considered the most elegant bridge in Paris, with its decorative finishes and figures. I even used this motif for one of my paintings.

The theme of painting with niches in the wall is very popular. For example, here on the wall is a real lamp. The best way to decorate this wall is to draw a large arch with a lamp sculpture. ... So, visually it looks as if this lamp is held by a girl sitting on a mythical horse with a fish tail. / height 1m 60 cm, width 1m / shadows are also drawn, real shadows fall only from the lamp.

Another example of a painted niche with roses in an antique vase with angels. By the way, the customer wished that the name of a family member was written on each book / height 1m 20 cm, width 80 cm /

Another French customer wanted a painting in the minimalistic style. On the white wall, a view of the sandy beach and the sea from an open arch. Many people in the South of France prefer a light, unloaded motif in the mural. Maybe because from window is always floral and sunny? Tromp L’œil was realized in my Studio on canvas. At the end of my work, it is glued to the right place on the white wall. Height 80 cm, width 120 cm. By the way, such a painting can be re-glued to another place if desired, which is very convenient.

Here is another example of painting in the minimalism style. Like the previous version, I did painting on canvas in my Studio. The customer wanted a view of the sea Bay in Corsica. There's a double arch on the corner wall.

Murals on the walls can be made different, on the whole wall or only partially. You can even design a large mirror beautifully.
I drew a metal frame around the mirror. At the top there is a real clock, on the sides - real lamps. Everything else I imagined and ... drew

I usually make a couple of sketches to choose from before starting a big job .. The customer chooses the right one and the work begins.

Let me remind you that I studied to be an artist decorator at a private school in Nice, in the South of France. I must say that wall painting is different from easel painting. There is more space for work, there is where to accelerate.

By the way, you can paint in interior not only walls, but also the floor. Here’s an example of my work in acrylic, in the antique style. The mythological Apollo, the God of light and patron of arts, welcomes visitors to my Studio.

In addition to interior wall paintings, you can paint and decorate other objects in the house. For example, I am fond of furniture decor and painted stained-glass ... but that's another story. You can see examples of my works in other art forms by the link below.
