In this demonstration you will learn how to begin sculpting clay (ceramic) onto a wire armature using the teardrop shape. By sculpting with the teardrop shape, you will learn how to work with negative space, mass and line to create a sculpture that is interesting from all 3 dimensions. This is part-2 of the process of how to create a sculpture using the wire armature.

Materials:

wire armature sculpture attached to a wooden board:

10-15 pounds of ceramic clay
damp towel
spray bottle with water
plaster-fabric wrap (Plastercraft)
table lamp (desk lamp)
