The Tirpitz had been a thorn in the side of the Allies for years, and by 1944 they were becoming desperate to sink her.

So, in a remote Norwegian fjord, members of 617 and 9 Squadron RAF launched a unique raid from their Ally's soil, Russia. Although not a complete success, Operation Paravane did see the use of a bizarre experimental mine, the Johnny Walker.

This is the story of that mine.
