Michael Joseph Pierce is a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA), The Television Academy and an alumnus of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles. He is an American actor and second generation native San Diegan who has lived his entire life in Southern California. Recent credits include the Showtime pilot Coercion, based on Rebecca Benders' book "In Pursuit of Love" about her personal experiences with sex trafficking, directed by Susannah Grant. His recent films include playing General Mills in the NETFLIX comedy Unfrosted, co-starring Melissa McCarthy and Amy Schumer, and directed by Jerry Seinfeld; the ION TV Christmas Film, Dognapped - Hound for the Holidays directed by Fred Olen Ray; A Lions Game directed by Travis Brown, currently on Apple TV and Road to Terzetto directed by Brian Shakti, currently on Amazon Prime.

He recently starred in a Horror film, The Demon Car of Proctor Valley Road, based on the San Diego Urban Legend, releasing in 2025 and two vertical Series called, My Gangster Baby Daddy Pampers me to Paradise, currently showing on the GoodShorts App, and Race to my Heart, showing on the Drama Wave APP. Michael's major streaming debut came as Father Michael King in Confessions-the Series; streaming on Amazon Prime. This was immediately followed by the LGBTQ crime thriller Wicked Enigma. Michael had an ambitious pandemic project called A Barman's Aperitif, a six episode short form iPhone comedy which he wrote, directed, produced and acted in, available on You Tube.

Michael's local roots in San Diego in the entertainment business started young. He studied and worked with local legend Marie Hitchcock, for whom the Puppet Theater in Balboa Park was named; he studied magic and performed shows locally. Michael took classes in jazz dance, tap and disco dancing and this led to competing in the California State High School Dance Championships for two years. At Santana High School, he studied theater, performed in school productions, and in local theater productions and competed in speech and debate tournaments.

After High School he trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles. His television debut came on "General Hospital" in the 1980's as a club disco dancer, leading to under 5's and his legit break in theater came in the San Diego Repertory Theater's legendary production of Mother Courage with Whoopi Goldberg; he continues to appear in local stage productions to this day. For over twenty-five years Michael worked in a management capacity in the retail industry; holding Global Operations, Vice President, and Director positions; and worked for Rand McNally, No Fear and LEGO toy stores, among others. Michael has appeared in over forty commercials and portrayed the husband in Glucodown Commercials from 2017 to 2024.
