Slate Digital VMS: Classic Mic Comparison

Since the microphones featured in this video were not the reference microphones that Slate Digital used in their VMS modeling process, the folks at Slate decided to use our microphone files and used the VMS technology to make new mic models of the rented mics! This is an update to our original video that uses a better-matched model of the C800G, from the Classic Tubes 2 Collection.

We test the Virtual Microphone System from Slate Digital against four classic microphones that we rented for the occasion — Neumann's U47 & 67, AKG C12 and the Sony C800G.
