The point of this lab is partially to refresh your memory on how to create a file geodatabase and turn on the Spatial Analyst extension, and mostly to learn the consequences of failing to fill a DEM before running hydrologic analyses on it. This exercise will fail to correctly generate a watershed. Most people forget to fill the DEM before creating the watershed, so most people encounter this problem and therefore I want you to recognize and understand the problem when it happens to you. The next few labs will show you how to do it correctly.
