EPISODE ONE:
AN OVERVIEW OF THE COBRA II AND BUILDING A SETUP
Join Josh, Scott and some more of the ACES Systems team as we talk about the Cobra II and building a Dynamic Propeller Balance Setup.
Vibration in an aircraft can cause all sorts of other problems. Everything from worn out engine mounts, cracked exhaust stacks and sheetmetal, to failed avionics and light bulbs. And let’s not forget about passenger and crew discomfort.
You bought a Kit, now what do you do with it? What’s a “Setup”, where do I mount the Vibration Sensor, what is that plastic circle thing for?
With the Model 2021 Cobra II, you will be able to determine if a dynamic balance of the propeller is needed with a Vibration Spectrum Survey. If it is, the Cobra II can have you back up and flying in 4 runs or less. Taking the guess work out of how much weight to use and where to place it. Your Prop Kit will have everything you need, Vibration sensor for amplitude measurements, a PhotoTach for Phase angle and speed readings, a Propeller Protractor for phase angle location, and more.
The first in the Series will focus on
• An Overview of the Cobra II Analyzer
• Creating a Propeller Balance Setup
