Being my first time moving country this area of an entry and stay visa were all new to me. I looked at them once, twice and even one hundred times. Gradually I got used to what was on offer, how they differed and what was the correct choice for me. There is the standard tourist visa. Gives you 90 days stay in Malaysia before you have to leave. There are guardian visa and dependent visa. They are annual and come with an application fee. Next up is the very popular mm2h visa program. You have to put money in the bank. You have to buy a property. You have to stay at least 90 days. After this visa option is the premium visa. This has a big fee when compared to the other choices and also a very large bank deposit. In return you get a 20 year visa and can work in Malaysia. It basically gives you everything but a passport and citizenship. This is the visa I like the most even with the fee.

It's definitely worth mulling over all these visa options and not rushing into anything. Good luck.
