Here are a few nice memories of Cromptons working the Meldon Quarry trains in the days when there were 6 services a day. Now a days you are lucky if you see one class 66 a week.
First we see 33051 and 002 picking up the single line token that allows them on the Quarry branch on a frosty December morning in 1992 with a rake of empty sea cows or walruses or whatever they are next we see a few shots of Bow station (closed) on the Withered Arm as it used to be known with 33002 and 33051 returning with a Meldon Quarry to Tonbridge service.
Next we move to the next closed station North Tawton and see Light Engine 33118 dwarfed by the awesome topography on the branch followed by a track recording unit ( any offers as to the class ? )at Okehampton on 27th January 1993 before filming 33118 again also Okehampton station with a Meldon Quarry to Hoo Junction service.
